Message from the President

Welcome to the AMEPPA website!

Founded in 2011 and institutionalized within the American University in Cairo in 2017, the Association for Middle Eastern Public Policy and Administration (AMEPPA) is dedicated to advancing good governance and ethical institutions in the Middle East. Since its inception, the association has grown into a robust international network of more than 600 professionals and academics. Over the past decade, we have seen the AMEPPA community maintain its strength, vision and drive to create meaningful change—a testament to the resilience of our network and the powerful foundations laid by previous leadership.

The previous leadership of AMEPPA oversaw a period of incredible transformation and growth, and I am thrilled to be stepping into this role at such a moment of flourishing. Drawing on my experience in international organizations and my learnings as Chair of the Department of Public Policy and Administration at the American University in Cairo, I look forward to infusing AMEPPA with a new vision of growth and encouraging collaborative efforts to address the public service challenges and opportunities emerging across the region.

With the support and energy of our community, I am confident that we will continue elevating our work and forging ahead in our journey toward excellence.
